Games to scream by.

Well as Halloween is upon us and the Nintendo DS game Dementium: The Ward by Renegade kid is all set to be released on this scariest of nights I thought you guys out there would want to know the best games to be playing to scare the living daylights out of you whilst those pesky Trick or Treaters are banging at your door.
So without further ado here are my top 3 games to make you loose sleep.
3. Alien Vs Predator 2 (PC)
This is one of the first games that got me into the whole online play scene.
This game is much better than its predecessor in everyway. You get to choose between playing as either an Alien (made famous by the film of the same name), a Predator (thank god there’s no muscles from Brussels in sight) or a Marine “Hoo Ra”.
The same story is told through out the game and you can experience it from different points of view depending on what race you choose.
For the best pants wetting experience Id play as the Marine, there is nothing scarier than standing in a dark room whilst your motion sensor is going nuts.

2. Resident Evil 4 (PS2, GC, Wii, PC)
Whilst not my favourite Resident Evil it is still one freaky game.
You take on the role of Leon Kennedy (you may remember him from Resident Evil 2) who is now a Federal Agent. In a story that could almost be a horror version of 24 you are on the trail of the Presidents kidnapped daughter. You have tracked her to a remote village in Europe.
Whilst there are no “true” Zombies you are forced to battle the crazed villagers to find the girl and save the day. It is hard to go into too much detail without spoiling the story so let’s just say the creepy chainsaw wielding maniac who looks like he’s taken straight from The Texas Chainsaw massacre will leave you heart pumping and your underwear wet

1. Fatal frame 2: Crimson Butterfly (Directors cut) (Xbox)
This game actually caused me to have nightmares it was so bad.
The game also is on the PS2 but the Xbox version has a lot more added like a first person mode which really adds to the Dread.
The basic story of the game follows two twin sisters as they go back to explore their old childhood play ground that is soon to be destroyed to make way for a dam. As they are walking through the forest a crimson Butterfly comes floating past so the girls decide to follow it (are they stupid? Don’t they watch movies? You never follow a strange object in a dark forest).
Needless to say they get lost and are transport to a lost village. The legends say that the village vanished a long time ago on the eve of a ritual. Your job is to find out what happened to this village and escape, Oh and find your stupid sister, who as wandered off like an idiot.
The only weapon you have is the Camera Obscura, an antique Camera with the power to banish evil spirits. Sound strange? Well it is but it is also the most heart pumping adrenaline rush you’ll get in a video game.

Well there we have it if you find these games to your liking remember Dementium: The Ward is set to be released on the Nintendo DS this Halloween keep an eye out here at DScity for a review and remember don’t loose sleep I’m sure you’ll be safe this Halloween.
